History of HHN
  • Eid Abdelmassih Hanna, an Egyptian Christian minister trained at Cairo Seminary, was selected in 2009 to come to the United States to initiate a ministry to Middle Eastern refugees and immigrants.
  • When Eid arrived in Houston, he was placed under care as a pastor in the Presbytery of New Covenant of the Presbyterian Churh in the USA (PCUSA)
  • Eid began ministry under the organizational name of Arabic American Friendship Center, which held weekly meetings in the evenings at Grace Presbyterian Church in Houston.
  • In 2015, the ministry moved its services to St. Thomas Presbyterian Church, and in 2016 was reorganized under the name of Houston Hope of the Nations (HHN).
  • Today, HHN serves approximately 50 congregants at any given time.  Most are of Middle Eastern origin, although some are immigrants from Asia or elsewhere.

HHN Brochures

HHN has prepared two brochures that explain the mission of HHN, and that give some of the history of the organization.  These brochures also explain how volunteers can get involved in supporting HHN, and how individuals or churches can donate money to support HHN.

This brochure is intened for viewing on computers or other electronic devices in PDF format, or for printing on 8.5 x 11" paper, which is a useful format for presentations in meetings.

This brochure contains most of the information found in the Full Page Brochure, but is designed for 2-sided printing on a single page, which can then be folded into the form of a tri-fold brochure.  This format is useful for distribution via display racks or tables, in church offices, etc., so that people can take them home and read them at their leisure.
